My dear, sweet sister-in-the Lord Bekki from Ready to be Offered wrote a beautifully poignant post called, Flying to a Summer Land.  In it she shares about the pain of letting go, obedience to the One who leads, and the one true Home we have with Christ in "that beautiful Summer-land of glory where every tear will be wiped away from our eyes and all the promises in Him are Yes."

Bekki writes in a pleasingly poetic manner drawing beautiful pictures with her words.

Bekki shares on her blog that she writes to encourage herself and other believers to press on to know the Lord Jesus in every aspect of life. She desires to know Him more deeply day by day, learning how to surrender...

I have been blessed by Bekki's friendship for many years.  Her humble and gentle Christ-like manner has been such an inspiration to me.  She is my prayer partner, and has been a mentor to my daughter.

For any of you sensing the Lord's leading, whether it be for a big life change or a small act of obedience, head on over to Ready to be Offered  to read Flying to a Summer Land.   You will be blessed and encouraged.

  1. It can often be so difficult to "let go". To totally trust Him in every thing. But we should not stop trying.

    God bless.

  2. My husband and I are in a place where a major life change could be in the offing, but it is up to God and we are learning to turn our whole hearts over to God. Is is not an easy thing to do, but we want to and that is the start...the wanting.
    Visiting from Sandra's this morning.

    1. My husband and I are as well. It has not come to fruition and may never do so, but the wheels were set in motion. The Lord taught me the same lesson that it is "in the wanting"...

Praying the Lord's guidance and discernment as you wait on Him.

      Thanks for stopping by. :-)
