Thanksgiving Thursday - October 15, 2015

Welcome to another weekly installment of Thanksgiving Thursday.  :-)

Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Psalm 33:1

Counting my blessings one by one:

  • Enjoying a walk in the woods with my husband on a sunny, warm Lord's Day afternoon,  preserving the beautiful scenes of God's creation and activity through photographs...

  • Being restored to a dear friend...
  • For God's discipline...
  • For a roof over my head, food on my table and clothing to wear...
  • For having the means to enjoy a good meal at a restaurant...

  • For God's Word that speaks to me afresh...
  • For gifted Bible study authors who bring great insights to books of the Bible...
  • For parents who are approaching their 80s, but are still healthy, vibrant and active...
  • For the joy of watching my granddaughter sit up...
  • For how the Lord is using the exercise of writing a blog to bring healing and obedience into my life...
  • For these peaceful scenes, enjoyed on a walk this afternoon with my husband, that brought joy to my spirit...

Praising God for His many blessings this past week.

I’ll count my blessings—
Count them o’er and o’er—
I’ll tell my Father’s goodness—
I will love Him more,
I’ll count my blessings, bountiful and free—
Yet I can never count them all—
So good is God to me!
