Thanksgiving Thursday - October 29, 2015

Welcome to another weekly installment of Thanksgiving Thursday.  :-)

Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Psalm 33:1

Counting my blessings one by one:

  • The reassuring words of a co-worker who has gone the tooth extraction/tooth implant route [pun intended!  lol  ;-) ], and her recommendation for me to go to her oral surgeon who is conservative with a great bedside manner, and has a proven successful track record...
  • For a sunny, warm Autumn afternoon on a day that was forecasted to be dreary the whole day through...
  • For a very healthy granddaughter who is reaching so many milestones; this week - crawling!
  • For Bible devotionals that add wonderful insight to Scripture...
  • For the gift of my own copy of my son and daughter-in-law's wedding video...
  • For mornings spent with my granddaughter...

  • For the miracles God has worked in our family's life...
  • Seeing the fruit of amazing blessings that burst forth from a difficult situation in the past...
  • For enjoying traditions for the first time with my granddaughter, like the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular...

  • For a daughter who enjoys spending time with her momma and daddy...
  • For enjoying other people's creative gifts from the Lord...
  • For kind and encouraging words from those I report to at work...
  • For my Supervisor going to bat for me...
  • For technology that allows me to skype with my mom...
Praising God for His many blessings this past week.

I’ll count my blessings—
Count them o’er and o’er—
I’ll tell my Father’s goodness—
I will love Him more,
I’ll count my blessings, bountiful and free—
Yet I can never count them all—
So good is God to me!

  2. Please help ...

I have placed an SCM Music line at the top of my Blog; just like you.

However, when I go to my Blog it always starts with an advert (people speaking) before it starts the music. Has this happend to you? How did you stop the adverts?

    I'm on HTTP://timeforreflections.blogspot.com/

    Thanx. God bless.

    1. Hi Victor, I haven't run into that issue. I googled around to see if anyone had written about that problem and if there was a fix, but didn't find anything.

But there is good news! I checked out your blog and I was able to listen to all your tracks with no advertisements. All the songs started as they should on your SCM Player with no advertisement. :-)

      Blessings to you. :-)

    2. Thank you for your help Karen. It is much appreciated.

I've just been on my Blog and there were two people talking. It went on for over 1.5 minutes. Then I moved off the Blog and back again. This time the music played OK. Very strange.

I'll ask my computer expert to see if he can fix it. Otherwise, I'll take the SCM off my Blog.

God bless you and thanx again.

    3. That makes me wonder if it is related to your cookies. Sometimes when things like that happen they usually fix themselves if you do some computer housekeeping and remove cookies and temporary internet files.

      Hope you find a solution.

    4. Thank you Karen.

Cleaned all cookies, temp files, and did full virus check. Problem not solved. Sadly taken off SCM Player. Pity, because I like your version of Be Thou My Vision.

      God bless.
