Feature Friday - October 23, 2015

The past couple of weeks, the Lord seems to have laid the subject of anxiety on the hearts of many bloggers who have written encouraging posts to spur their readers on to cast {their} cares upon Him and to remember to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let {their} requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard {their} hearts and {their} minds in Christ Jesus.

I personally was most struck by a post written by Melissa from the maidservantsofchrist blog who wrote 5 Ways to Combat Sinful Anxiety.  I found Melissa's insights about anxiety humble, sensitive and full of wisdom.  She gives practical steps backed by the Word of God in a manner that speaks in simple, but profound terms.

Melissa has been married for ten years and has three children.  She loves being a stay at home mom. Melissa shares the following about contributing to a blog.  "It has forced me to read and study as I haven't done since college. I am learning so much about being a godly woman, and I hope we can all grow together."

Please head on over to maidservantsofchrist.blogspot.com to read 5 Ways to Combat Sinful Anxiety.  Your anxious heart will be encouraged.

  1. anxiety can come in sudden waves or quiet whispers ... even for those of us who love and serve Jesus passionately. sometimes it turns out that it is our 'thorn in the flesh' that God allows ... maybe so we lean harder into His strength and grace than we ever would if all was well.

so grateful that writers are putting this on the table!

may your weekend be filled with a sweet grace and peace, Karen ...

    1. Linda, For me, it has indeed been the "thorn in my flesh" that ultimately saved me and continues to draw me close to the Lord.
